Sparrows is a free collection of practical, step-by-step guides to backyard birding: attracting birds, feeding them safely, providing housing and water, and learning to identify the birds that visit.

Every guide is written for general information and encouragement. Bird behavior varies by region and season, and local laws may govern feeding or housing wildlife, so always follow the rules where you live.

We put responsible birding first. Our guides never recommend anything that could harm birds, and they always remind you to keep feeders and baths clean and to leave active nests alone.

The site is written in English first; each guide also shows its common Chinese title for bilingual readers.
